My Lord,
I have the honour to refer to Mr. Ormsby Gore's
despatch No.105 of 27th April, 1938, regarding a grant of
land to the Chinese Congregational Church in Hong Kong, and
to inform Your Lordship that this body has applied for a
further grant of an area of 30,000 square feet on the island
of Aplichau, shown coloured and hatched red on the enclosed
plan. The church body proposes to build a hostel and
school premises on the area coloured red and to use the
area hatched red for agricultural teaching.
2. I recommend for Your Lordship's approval the grant
of this land on the terms and conditions - which follow the
usual lines in such cases set out in the enclosed form.
